I am a Chicanx artist from the borderlands of Douglas, Arizona and Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.
Currently, I am working on my DMA in percussion performance at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. My work focuses on community music making in border communities.
I am lucky enough (during normal times, at least) to work on many different projects. But the two I’ve been working on the most lately is Till the Teeth, an experimental duo with composer, Sandesh Nagaraj. The other is a metal band called Self-Deprecator.
